Air Canada announced it will launch an additional seasonal daily service on its Vancouver-London route next summer. In addition, the carrier said that it would move up the launch date for its new Vancouver-Brisbane, Australia service, with flights now set to launch on June 1, 2016, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled.
The airline’s second daily flight between Vancouver and London will depart Vancouver International Airport at 9:10 p.m. and arrive at London Heathrow at 2:20 p.m. the following day. From London, flights will depart at 4:15 p.m. and arrive back in Vancouver at 5:45 p.m. The extra seasonal flights will be offered between June 1 and September 30, 2016.
The new Vancouver-Brisbane service will operate three times a week, with flights scheduled to depart Vancouver at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive at Brisbane Airport at 7:15 a.m. two days later. Flights from Brisbane to Vancouver will depart at 10:40 a.m. and arrive at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Air Canada will operate its additional London service using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, while it will use a 787-8 Dreamliner on its flights to Brisbane.
