Tuesday is National Coffee Day: Here’s Where to Get Your Caffeine Fix for Free
September 29 is National Coffee Day and many coffee-related businesses are celebrating by offering customers free or discounted cups of coffee.
Here is a list of where you can get your complimentary morning joe as well as, in a few cases, a free donut or mug. One company requires a purchase in order to get a free beverage – that would be Peet’s – but most do not.
Dunkin’ Donuts. Founded in 1950, one of the nation’s oldest major chains of coffeehouses is celebrating by offering a free medium cup of hot or iced Rainforest Alliance Certified Dark Roast Coffee to all visitors. It is also giving its DD Perks loyalty program members a coupon redeemable before the end of the year for any Dunkin’ Donuts beverage.
Wawa. The convenience store chain, which operates primarily in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida, is offering customers any 24-ounce self-serve beverage for free to celebrate.
Krispy Kreme. The nation’s oldest doughnut and coffee company – it was founded in 1937 – is offering customers a free small coffee and an original glazed donut in honor of the observance.
LaMar’s Donuts. The gourmet donut chain, which has stores in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, is offering free 12-ounce cups of coffee as well as free mugs while supplies last.
Sheetz. The Altoona, Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain that operates in six states, namely Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia – is offering its customers a cup of its “new generation” of coffee free.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea. The Bay Area coffee roaster is offering a free small cup of Major Dickason Blend with the purchase of any baked item, oatmeal, or fresh food product.
And if you are flying JetBlue Airways today, the carrier is serving espresso brews from the Brooklyn Roasting Company while in flight.
