Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru Opens in Southern India
Shangri-La Hotels announced the opening of the Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka in Southern India. The property is located on two acres of land between the central business district and residential suburb, approximately 30 minutes from Bengaluru International Airport.
The 19-story hotel has 397 guestrooms and suites, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi Internet. Bathrooms have a wardrobe, bathtub, walk-in shower, and antique bronze mirrors.
The lobby has marble columns and nine cylindrical chandeliers. Other design elements include a glass elevator, marble from Italy, Turkey, and China, and textiles from the United Kingdom and other parts of Asia.
The property has a spa and 24-hour fitness center, as well as a sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. Weekly yoga sessions and a running tour of the nearby Bangalore Palace are also offered at the property.
Guests can dine at the hotel’s Shang Palace, a Chinese restaurant, as well as b Café, an all-day dining venue that offers a buffet. In addition, b Café Pastry offers desserts. Three more restaurants are scheduled to open at the hotel in the near future, including a Mediterranean restaurant, an Indian restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant.
For meetings and events, the property has a 7,954-sqare-foot (739-square-meter) grand ballroom, which is capable of accommodating up to 900 guests.
