Scandic Hotels announced it will open a new hotel in Stockholm, Sweden next spring. The Haymarket will be located in an historic art deco building that was built in 1916 and first served as the home of the PUB department store.

The property will have 405 guestrooms, as well as 16 suites, one of which will have a rooftop terrace. Each room will have a 1920s-themed design, with features such as marble countertops and velvet couches, as well as modern design elements including gold faucets and custom wallpaper and textiles.

The hotel will also have a restaurant, Paul’s, which will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The property will also have a café, Greta’s, which will have menu items ranging from breads to oysters. The café is named after Greta Garbo, who once worked as a sales clerk at the PUB department store.

Also located on the premises will be a cinema and event floor, able to accommodate up to 800 people.
