DSC_0119 2Japan Airlines announced it will open a Diamond Premier Lounge at Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport.

Once the lounge opens, New Chitose will become the second airport with a Diamond Premier Lounge, after Tokyo Haneda.

The Tokyo-based airline plans to expand its Diamond Premier Lounge to other Japanese airports in the future, including Osaka’s Itami Airport and Fukuoka Airport.

In addition, the carrier said that it would revamp its Sakura Lounge at New Chitose while the airport’s domestic terminal is being renovated, scheduled to begin November 4.  Among other changes, the lounge will be moved from the second floor to the third floor of the terminal.
