Hong Kong Airlines, Air Mauritius Begin Codeshare Agreement
Hong Kong Airlines announced the start of a codeshare with Air Mauritius, the flag carrier of Mauritius.
Under the agreement, Hong Kong Airlines is allowed to place its code on Air Mauritius flights between Hong Kong International Airport and Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius. Flights depart Hong Kong at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays and arrive in Mauritius at 7:15 a.m. Flights from Mauritius to Hong Kong depart at 8:45 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays, and arrive at 10:30 a.m. the next day.
Earlier this year, Hong Kong Airlines began a codeshare with Garuda Indonesia. Hong Kong Airlines was founded in 2001 as CR Airways, and operates a fleet of 23 Airbus aircraft. Its main hub is at Hong Kong International Airport.
Air Mauritius was founded in 1967. The airline is the fourth largest in Sub-Saharan Africa.
