Alaska Airlines announced the beginning of new daily, non-stop service between Seattle and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.  The service is the carrier’s second to the New York City area from its hub in Seattle, after its twice-daily flights to Newark Liberty International Airport.

Flights will depart Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 9:35 p.m. and arrive at JFK’s Terminal 8, the American Airlines terminal, at 6:00 a.m. the next morning.  From New York, flights will depart T8 at 7:15 a.m. and arrive in Seattle at 10:30 a.m.

Alaska will operate the service using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, equipped with 16 seats in first class and 144 seats in economy.  Seats in first class are 21” wide, with a pitch of 36”.

In celebration of the new service, Alaska Airlines is offering members of it Mileage Plan loyalty program double miles on the route for flights through October 28.
