Starbucks Coffee announced plans to expand its Mobile Order & Pay system across the country.  Mobile Order & Pay allows customers to place orders for pickup at a specific Starbucks location, bypassing the line at the store.  It was launched last December in Portland, Oregon.

It was later expanded to 650 stores in other parts of Oregon, as well as Alaska, Idaho, and Washington.

As of today, it’s available in more than 3,400 Starbucks stores in 26 states.  New additions include Alabama, Arizona, California (South and Central), Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wyoming.

Mobile Order & Pay has been integrated into the Starbucks iPhone mobile app and is only available on the iPhone platform.  The company said it plans to offer the functionality on the Android platform later this year.

Starbucks says that all stores in the United States will offer Mobile Order & Pay by the end of 2015.
