Sriwijaya Air Takes Delivery of First Brand New Planes

IMGP4627Boeing and Sriwijaya Air announced of the Indonesian carrier’s first all-new aircraft, two Next Generation 737-900ERs.

The planes are outfitted with Boeing Sky Interior, which features new sculpted sidewalls, windows, larger overhead bins that disappear into the ceiling and hold more bags, LED lighting.

The aircraft will join Sriwijaya’s current fleet of all-Boeing 737 planes.  The carrier primarily offers flights to Indonesian destinations, and various international cities.

Sriwijaya Air was founded in 2003, and is headquartered in Jakarta.  The carrier is the third largest in Indonesia.
