New Sheraton Opens in Bucharest, Romania

Property is First Starwood Hotel in Country

DSC_0912Starwood announced the opening of the Sheraton Bucharest hotel in Romania.  The property is the first Starwood hotel to open in the country.

The hotel has 270 guestrooms, 28 of which are suites.  In addition, the Sheraton Club Lounge, which SPG Gold and Preferred members can use Starpoints to upgrade to, offers complimentary breakfast, drinks, and Wi-Fi Internet.

The property has a fitness center, as well as spa facilities.  The hotel also has over 12,916 square feet (1,200 square meters) of meeting and event space, which includes a boardroom, two ballrooms, and ten conference rooms.

A Japanese restaurant, Benihana, is located on the premises, as is Avalon, a Romanian restaurant. Guests can enjoy desserts at Centro Sweets.
