One person is under arrest in New Delhi and two others are being sought in conjunction with the theft of millions of Avios, the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer program currency.

Earlier this year, the British flag carrier said that tens of thousand of BA Executive Club accounts had been accessed by hackers.  “’British Airways has become aware of some unauthorised activity in relation to a small number of frequent flyer executive club accounts,” the airline said in a statement at the time, adding that it was “sorry for the concern and inconvenience this matter has caused.”

The arrest was first reported by the Times of India on Thursday.

The police said that officials are  “carrying out raids to nab the suspects” and would “provide further details soon.”
