British Airways announced it will offer non-stop service from Glasgow, Scotland to the slopes of Salzburg, Austria.

The airline will operate the flights once a week on Saturdays, commencing on December 12, 2015.

Flights will depart Glasgow Airport, formerly known as formerly Glasgow Abbotsinch Airport, at 12:40 p.m. local time arriving at 4 p.m.  Flight time is two hours and 20 minutes.  Return flights will depart at 3:50 p.m. and arrive in Glasgow and 6:20 p.m.

The British flag carrier will operate the flight using Airbus A319 jets.  BA’s A319s used on European routes are configured with Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveler (coach) seats.  Club Europe seats are in a 3-3 configuration with a blocked middle seat for additional comfort.  The number of Club Europe seats varies from 12 to 40 based on the number of seats sold in that cabin.  A moveable divider is used to separate the section from coach.  The width of all seats is 17” and Club Europe seats have a 34” seat pitch, versus 30” elsewhere in the aircraft.

BA will use a Gatwick-based flight crew to operate the service.
