WestJet Begins Three New Daily Routes from Halifax, Nova Scotia

Airline Also Launches Ottawa-Moncton, New Brunswick Service

DSC_0514Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet announced the launch of new daily, non-stop service from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Deer Lake and Gander, Newfoundland as well as to Sydney, Nova Scotia.  The airline also began new daily non-stop service between Ottawa, Ontario and Moncton, New Brunswick.

Flights to Deer Lake depart Halifax Stanfield International Airport at 7:40 a.m. and arrive at 9:46 a.m., with return flights departing at 10:20 a.m. and arriving at 11:38 a.m.  Halifax flights to Gander depart at 8:50 p.m. and arrive at 11:03 p.m., with flights from Gander to Halifax departing at 5:25 a.m. and arriving at 6:54 a.m.

Flights from Halifax to Sydney depart at 12:35 p.m. and arrive at 1:30 p.m., while return flights depart Sydney at 2:00 p.m. and arrive in Halifax at 2:57 p.m.   Flights between Ottawa and Moncton depart Ottawa at 2:35 p.m. and arrive at 5:26 p.m., with flights from Moncton departing at 6:00 p.m. and arriving at 7:07 p.m.

In addition to the new flights, WestJet also announced that it would increase its service between Halifax and St. John’s, Newfoundland from two to three times daily, as well as between Halifax and Ottawa from one to two daily flights.
