Transaero Takes Delivery of its First Airbus A321
Transaero’s A321 is configured with two classes and can seat up to 184 passengers. The plane has eight seats in first class, each with a pitch of 55”, while the 176 seats in economy class each have a pitch of 31”.
The planes will also come with sharklet wing tip devices, and will be 4% more fuel efficient than current jets. They also have an extended range of up to 100 nautical miles (185 kilometers).
Transaero says that it plans to put the aircraft into operation on high-demand medium-range routes, to destinations such as Paris, Tel Aviv, Astana, Almaty, and Novosibirsk.
The airline is scheduled to take delivery of three additional A321s by the end of this year.
