The Kempinski Hotel River Park Bratislava will become a Starwood Luxury Collection Hotel come August and assume the name Grand Hotel River Park.

The property opened in 2010 and was designed by Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat.  Located in the River Park business complex on the banks of the Danube, the hotel is minutes away from Bratislava’s historic Old Town and close to the city’s castles, museums, and monuments. The River Park development includes residences, office towers, and shops.

The hotel has 231 rooms, two restaurants, and a lobby bar in addition to a spa and fitness spa.  For meetings and events, the property has two ballrooms and five meeting rooms.

Kempinski will continue, at least for the time being, to manage the Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras, also owned by Best Hotel Properties.
