Delta Reports Second Quarter Earnings

DSC_4997Delta Air Lines announced financial results for the second quarter of 2015.

The Atlanta-based carrier reported net income for the quarter of $1 billion, after one-time charges for a fleet restructuring, debt extinguishment, and employee profit-sharing.

Passenger revenue decreased by 1% to $9.139 billion from $9.266 billion for the three months ended June 2015 compared to the same period in 2014.

For the month of June, Delta saw an increase in its total traffic, with a 3.2% rise over last year’s numbers.  The carrier also experienced a 2.6% increase in its total capacity for the month of June.
