Alaska Airlines to Give Its Credit Cardholders a Free Checked Bag
Alaska Airlines announced it will offer a free checked bag to passengers holding one of its credit cards.
The Seattle-based airline said that cardholders of its Alaska Airlines Visa Signature consumer card will not be charged a fee for their first checked bag.
In January, Alaska offered all members of its Mileage Plan frequent flyer program a free checked bag for one month. In February, the airline offered the same promotion to holders of its Visa Signature credit card.
The airline said that the free checked bag was “a benefit our customers have been asking for,” adding that it would remain a “core benefit” of the credit card program.
