Alaska Airlines to Begin Service from Portland to Kansas City, Minneapolis, Omaha

DSC_0684-EDAlaska Airlines announced that it plans to launch new daily, non-stop service from its hub in Portland, Oregon to three Midwest cities next February.  On February 18, the carrier will begin flights from Portland International Airport to Kansas City, Missouri; Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota; and Omaha, Nebraska.

The flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines, using Embraer E175 jets equipped with 12 seats in first class and 64 seats in economy.

Flights to Kansas City will depart at 9:35 a.m. and arrive at 2:59 p.m., with return flights departing at 3:40 p.m. and arriving in Portland at 5:45 p.m.  Flights from Portland to Minneapolis-St. Paul will depart at 10:55 a.m. and arrive at 4:16 p.m., while return flights will depart at 5:00 p.m. and arrive at 7:08 p.m.

Portland-Omaha flights are scheduled to depart Portland at 6:50 p.m. and arrive in Omaha at 11:49 p.m.  Flights from Omaha to Portland will depart at 7:00 a.m. and arrive at 8:45 a.m.

In celebration of the new routes, Alaska Airlines is offering members of its Mileage Plan loyalty program double the miles on flights to both Minneapolis-St. Paul and Kansas City between February 18 and March 18, 2016.
