Début Hotel Group announced plans for an extensive renovation of the Time Hotel in New York’s Times Square.  The 193-room hotel will have its guestrooms, suites, lobby, and restaurant redesigned as part of the renovation, which is scheduled to be completed this fall.

Guestrooms and suites will be outfitted with leather-upholstered beds, watercolor pattern area rugs, and wardrobes inspired by glittering jewel cases.  The guestroom walls will have a crumpled paper pattern wall covering, and lens lights will be suspended over the beds.

The décor of the property’s restaurant, Serafina will include natural materials said to be reminiscent of northern Italy.  The hotel will also have a lounge with a communal work table and window seating nooks.

The bar area will have sculptural corset-style drapes, which can be raised during the night to merge the day lounge with the bar area.

The Time Hotel is located at West 49th Street and Broadway in Times Square.  The property is two blocks from Rockefeller Center, and about a mile south of Central Park.
