DSC_0388Hong Kong Airlines announced that it expanded its codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways.  The two carriers first began codesharing in December of last year.

Going forward, Hong Kong Airlines will be allowed to place its code on Etihad’s daily service between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.  Hong Kong Airlines will also be able to place its code on Etihad’s service between Abu Dhabi and Madrid, Spain.

In addition, Etihad plans to increase its service between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok from three to four times a day on July 1.  Etihad’s flights between the two cities were included in the carriers’ original codeshare agreement, and Hong Kong Airlines will place its code on the additional flight as well.

Under the original codeshare agreement begun in December 2014, Etihad is allowed to place its code on Hong Kong Airlines-operated flights between Hong Kong and Bangkok, and Hong Kong and Okinawa.
