Hainan Links Shanghai with Boston and Seattle

Hainan Airlines announced the launch of new service between Shanghai and Boston, as well as between Shanghai and Seattle.  Boston and Shanghai are the carrier’s sixth and seventh destinations in North America, respectively.

Flights to Boston will depart Shanghai Pudong International Airport at noon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Boston Logan International Airport at 2:35 p.m.  From Boston, flights will depart at 4:34 p.m., also on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Shanghai at 7:45 p.m. the following day.

Flights will depart Shanghai at 12:55 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 9:35 a.m.  From Seattle, flights will depart at noon on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Shanghai at 4:30 p.m. the next day.

Hainan will operate its Shanghai-Boston route using Boeing 787 Dreamliners.  The aircraft are equipped with 36 lie-flat seats in business class and 177 seats in economy class.  Seats in business class have a width of 22.5”, and are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration.

On its Shanghai-Seattle route, Hainan will use Airbus A330 aircraft, outfitted with 18 lie-flat seats in business class and 242 seats in economy class.  Business-class seats are 21” wide and in a 2-2-2 configuration.
