Hainan Airlines Begins Service Between Beijing and San Jose, California

DSC_0517Hainan Airlines announced the launch of new service between San Jose, California and Beijing, China.  The carrier operates the service five days a week, using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

Flights will depart Mineta San Jose International Airport at 1:10 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport at 4:40 p.m. the next day.  From Beijing, flights will depart at 2:30 p.m., also on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and arrive in San Jose at 11:10 a.m. the same day.

The airline’s 787-8 Dreamliners are outfitted with 36 lie-flat seats in business class and 177 seats in economy class.  Business-class seats have a width of 22.5” and a pitch of 74”.

In addition to the San Jose-Beijing route, Hainan Airlines plans to begin new service between Boston’s Logan International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport on June 20, as well as between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Shanghai Pudong on June 22.
