In conjunction with the completion of Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport, Delta Air Lines announced the opening of its first private check-in lounge.

The new lounge, christened Delta One at LAX, offers Delta One (formerly BusinessElite) passengers a dedicated entrance at the curb which leads to a private check-in lounge that includes a refreshment bar.  The lounge leads to a dedicated security checkpoint.

The Atlanta-based airline also announced the completion of renovations at the Sky Club in Terminal 5, which has 100 additional seats, new shower seats; renovated bathrooms; and a new food area with café seating.

Delta has made other investments at Terminal 5 including new jet bridges, a renovated Sky Priority lobby, an expanded ticketing lobby, new baggage carousels, and four new security checkpoints.

In recent years, Delta has greatly expanded its presence in Los Angeles, adding new destinations including Shanghai, China, which launches July 9, and increasing its non-stop service between New York and LAX.
