Alitalia unveiled its new livery at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport on Friday. In addition, the carrier announced plans to upgrade its service on its international wide-body fleet.

A highlight of the new livery is the absence of the carrier’s signature green brand from aircraft fuselage. The new design will feature a larger, three-colored “A” on the tailfin.

The aircraft will have a warm ivory fuselage and what Alitalia calls “a sense of speed” from a refined series of bands leading towards the rear of the planes.

The carrier will also decorate the interior of its aircraft with the new designs. Alitalia will also equip its aircraft with new Poltrona Frau leather seats in business class, and continue to use Italian brands such as Frette bedding, Richard Ginori tableware, and Ferragamo amenity kits.

The airline said it will also begin to roll out Wi-Fi connectivity on all of its long-haul aircraft.
