WestJet Launches Toronto-Halifax-Glasgow Service

DSC_0514Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet announced the launch of new non-stop daily service between Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and Glasgow, Scotland. The flights originate in Toronto, with a stop in Halifax and continuing on to Glasgow.

Flights depart Toronto Pearson International Airport at 6:10 p.m. and arrive at Halifax Stanfield International Airport at 9:14 p.m. From Halifax, flights depart at 10:45 p.m., arriving at Glasgow Airport at 8:00 a.m. the next day.

Flights from Glasgow depart at 9:30 a.m. and arrive in Halifax 11:45 a.m., where they depart at 1:15 p.m. and arrive in Toronto at 2:35 p.m.

WestJet operates the flights using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, configured with 136 economy-class seats, including 18 economy plus-seats. All seats are 17” wide, with seats in economy plus offering between 36” and 40” of pitch, and economy-seats offering 31” to 32”.

WestJet’s flights to Glasgow are the carrier’s first to the United Kingdom.
