Hilton announced the opening of a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Lafayette, Louisiana.  Previously the Hilton Lafayette, the hotel underwent a $12 million renovation to become the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette.

Situated on the Vermillion River less than three miles from Lafayette Regional Airport, the 15-story property has 327 guestrooms.  Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet is available throughout all of the guestrooms and public areas.

Dining options include SoLA, the hotel’s restaurant which serves Southern and Louisiana cuisine, or 337, a bar with a pool table, signature cocktails, local beers, and small dishes.

The property has a 24-hour fitness center, as well as a 24-hour business center.  In addition, 22,000 square feet (2,043 square meters) of meeting and event space is located on the premises, including a 9,409-square-foot (874-square-meter) ballroom.

In celebration of the opening, Hilton is offering members of its Hilton HHonors loyalty program double points for stays completed between June 1 and September 8, 2015.
