Alaska to Link LA with Baltimore, Two Costa Rican Cities
Alaska Airlines announced that it plans to launch new service from Los Angeles to Baltimore, Maryland, as well as both San Jose and Liberia, Costa Rica, this fall. Service to Baltimore will be daily, while the carrier will operate four flights a week to both of the Costa Rican cities.
Beginning September 9, flights will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 10:10 p.m. and arrive at Baltimore-Washington International Airport at 6:15 a.m. the next day. Flights from Baltimore to Los Angeles will depart at 7:30 a.m. and arrive at 10:40 a.m.
On October 31, Alaska will begin flights to San Jose, which will depart Los Angeles at 8:40 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose at 4:34 p.m. Flights from San Jose will depart at 5:35 p.m., also on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:05 p.m.
Flights from Los Angeles to Liberia will begin on November 1, and will depart Los Angeles at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and arrive at Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airportin Liberia at 4:25 p.m. From Liberia, flights will depart at 5:25 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 9:35 p.m., also on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
In celebration of the new routes, Alaska is offering one-way fares of $149 between Los Angeles and Baltimore for tickets purchased by May 6 and travel completed by November 18. In addition, the airline if offering members of its Mileage Plan loyalty program double miles on flights between the two cities between September 9 and October 9, 2015.
