Starwood Debuts New Luxury Collection Hotel in Kyoto, Japan
Starwood announced the opening of the Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto in Japan. The hotel is the first Luxury Collection property to open in the country.
Located in the Arashiyama district in the city of Kyoto, the hotel has 39 guestrooms, ranging from 500 to 1,000 square feet (46 to 92 square meters). Each room has a 42” LCD TV, a refrigerator, and minibar.
Guests can dine at the hotel’s Kyo Suiran restaurant, which offers Japanese cuisine. The property’s Saryo Hassui café has an exposed straw-thatched roof, pillars, and moon-shaped windows, and offers traditional Japanese green tea.
A spa with two private treatment rooms is also available for guests, and the property has a 1,066-square-foot (100-square-meter) meeting space.
