The new app works in conjunction with Passbook functionality on the iPhone and offers a variety of features that can be used before, during, and after a flight.

Features include: glance screen, which includes flight information, terminal and gate information, and flight status, and allows for quick updates without launching the app; countdown screen, which displays flight and flight status information, as well as seat and gate information and a 24-hour countdown to boarding and departure; and mobile boarding pass screen, which, in conjunction with Passbook, can be scanned at the TSA checkpoint and at the gate.

The app also includes various other features such as arrival message and destination weather.  Wearers of the watch can also utilize Apple Pay for onboard purchases.  JetBlue is the only domestic airline that supports Apple Pay for transactions in the air.

JetBlue also introduced new features in its iPhone app. These  include a new launch screen, an extended DirecTV schedule, and a new travel indicator for connecting to Fly-Fi Internet.
