DSC_5025Delta Air Lines announced that it plans to move operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 of Shanghai-Pudong International Airport on April 13.  The move will put the carrier in the same terminal as its codeshare partner and fellow SkyTeam member China Eastern Airlines, as well as that airline’s subsidiary, Shanghai Airlines.  Delta will begin a codeshare with Shanghai Airlines once the transition is complete.

At Terminal 1, Delta passengers will have access to China Eastern’s new 4,000-square-foot (371-square-meter) SkyTeam Lounge, which is slated to open later this year.

In addition, Delta will also be able to place its code on Shanghai Airlines flights to 11 destinations within China.

With China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines, Delta will offer service and codeshare flights to approximately 30 destinations from Shanghai-Pudong.
