The Texan city will be the airline’s fifth gateway in North America, after Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Honolulu.

The New Zealand flag carrier will operate the flight using 777-200s equipped with 26 lie-flat seats in first class, 36 seats in Pacific Premium Economy, and 242 seats in economy.  Seats in first class are 22” wide and have a bed length of 79.5”.

In addition, Air New Zealand said it will enter into a codeshare agreement with United Airlines, a fellow member of Star Alliance, on various flights into Houston’s George Bush InterContinental Airport.
