Each passenger has his own 9” seatback video screen and each seat has its own USB port as well.

Virgin’s Dreamliner: Other Amenities

The pivoting overhead bins are very easy to open and move to make it easier to place one’s bags inside. It is possible to move items in and out of a bin without stepping into the aisle. When open, the bins are a bit low so head-bumping remains a possibility.

The lavatories are innovative as well. The toilet has a touchless flush sensor and the faucets are sensor equipped as well. The sound that the toilet makes is far less obtrusive than what one typically hears in a lav.  Finally, the Upper Class lavs have a fold-down stool that makes it easy for passengers to change into their pajamas while in flight.

All passengers have a USB port, and Upper Class passengers have electrical outlet that supports U.S. and European plugs. The entertainment system supports English, Japanese, and Chinese.

All passengers have complimentary access to the new in-flight entertainment system that places a widescreen display with touchscreen interface at each seat. The system also provides a three-dimensional moving map with detailed information on points of interest.

Each passenger controls the in-flight entertainment system with a handset that allows passengers to browse menus and content offerings without changing what appears on the larger screen.
