Row NYC – Hotel Review
A business center, located in the lobby, is outfitted with eight Apple computers that guests can stand at (there are no chairs, maybe they should call it the Apple Bar). However, the Row doesn’t have any meeting or event space.
WELLNESS
A 24-hour fitness center is located on the third floor of the hotel, and provides elliptical, treadmills, free weights, and weight machines. The hotel’s close proximity to Times Square, also known as the Crossroads of the World, also presents opportunities for brisk walks with the added attraction of all the entertainment and cultural treasures the city has to offer the visitor.
DINING
The hotel’s District M, a Neapolitan pizza bar, is located off the lobby. The establishment has a bar, table sitting, and a miniature bleacher section, reminiscent of the bleacher seats in Times Square.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of many menu items, and the front desk manager informed me that this was due to the unnaturally large number of patrons the restaurant had seen that weekend. The kitchen was out of every salad and all but one appetizer, the dressed olives, and as I am not a huge fan of the fruit, I skipped a first course.
The pizzas were not in short supply, however, and a Wise Guy, a hand-stretched pizza with Salumeria Biellese pepperoni, white truffle oil, and torn basil, was savory and delicious.
While I was looking forward to dessert, the kitchen also ran out of ingredients for both items on the menu, so unfortunately I had to suffer the disappointment.
