FlowersInterContinental Hotels Group announced the opening of the Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road in Thailand.  The property is the first Hotel Indigo to open in Southeast Asia.

The hotel has 192 rooms, each with complimentary Internet (wireless, of course) and private balconies.

The property is decorated with murals and custom art created using early radios –  at the time of their introduction referred to as a wireless – inspired by the birth of Thailand’s radio stations in the surrounding area.  In addition, vertical gardens are incorporated into the design of the hotel.

Guests can dine at the Metro on Wireless restaurant, which serves Thai and Western cuisine, while the property’s bar, 22 Steps, offers Thai-inspired cocktails.  In addition, Char, the hotel’s signature restaurant, is scheduled to open later this year.
