New Airline, flymojo, Launched, Places Order for 40 Bombardier CSeries Jets
Flymojo, a new airline based in Malaysia, announced plans to purchase up to 40 Bombardier CSeries jets. The order, announced at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, is valued at $2.94 billion if all options are executed.
Flymojo signed a letter of intent for an additional 20 CS100 jets with options.
The airline plans to fly the planes between Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia, as well as other cities in the region. Its main hub will be at Senai International Airport.
Bombardier markets the CSeries as a challenger to 100- to 149-seat single-aisle models from Airbus and Boeing. The Montreal-based aircraft manufacturer says that the CSeries will have superior fuel and operating efficiencies. It has received over 600 orders and commitments for the new airliner.
