JetBlue Traffic Up 10% in February

DSC_0453JetBlue Airways announced operational results for February 2015.  The carrier’s traffic and capacity both increased, as did its passenger load factor.

JetBlue’s passenger traffic for the month was 2.9 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 10% from 2.638 billion RPMs in February 2014.  Capacity for the month also rose by 7.4% year-over-year, up to 3.475 billion available seat miles, or ASMs from 3.234 billion ASMs last February.

The airline reported a passenger load factor of 83.5% for the month, a year-over-year increase of 1.9 percentage points from 81.6% in the same month last year.

JetBlue’s passenger revenue per available seat mile, or Prasm, also increased, up 3% year-over-year.
