Delta Air Lines announced changes to its SkyMiles loyalty program.

Beginning March 9, members of the program will be able to purchase new one-way award tickets for as low as 10,000 miles plus taxes and fees through December 31, for travel to select destinations in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Delta also increased the number of partner airlines that SkyMiles members can redeem their miles for travel with.

In addition, members can also earn Medallion Qualification Dollars on partner airlines.  SkyMiles members will receive retroactive credit of Medallion Qualification Dollars dating back to January 1 of this year.
