Austrian Airlines to Link Vienna with Miami

DSC_0796Austrian Airlines announced that it plans to launch new service between Vienna and Miami on October 16.  In addition, the carrier said that it will launch new summer seasonal service between Vienna and Mahon, the capital city of the Spanish island of Menorca.

Flights to Miami will depart Vienna at 9:55 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and will arrive at 3:20 p.m.  From Miami, flights will depart at 5:10 p.m., also on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and will arrive at 8:50 a.m. the following day.

The carrier will operate the service using Boeing 777-200 aircraft, equipped with 48 lie-flat seats in business class and 260 seats in economy class.  Seats in business class are approximately 19” wide, and have a bed length of 78”.

The airline’s service to Mahon will begin on June 20 and run through September 12.  Flights will depart Vienna at 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and arrive in Mahon at 3:35 p.m.  From Mahon, flights will depart at 4:20 p.m., also on Saturdays, and arrive in Vienna at 7:10 p.m.  Austrian will operate the service using Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
