Alaska Airlines Launches New San Diego-Kona, Hawaii Route

DSC_0684-EDAlaska Airlines announced the launch of new service between San Diego and Kona, Hawaii.  The carrier operates the service three times a week, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Flights depart San Diego at 5:55 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Kona at 10:10 p.m.  From Kona, flights depart at 9:00 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 4:25 p.m., also on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Alaska’s Boeing 737-800s that will fly the route are equipped with 16 seats in first class, and 147 in economy.  Seats in first class have a pitch of 36”, and a width of 21”.

In celebration of the new route, Alaska Airlines is offering one-way fares of $199 for tickets purchased by March 9, for travel on Mondays and Thursdays between April 15 and June 6.
