DSC_0254 3Air China announced that it plans to launch a new daily route between Beijing and Auckland, New Zealand.

The service would be part of a new alliance between Air China and Air New Zealand, which would also see the Air China continue to codeshare on Air New Zealand’s daily Shanghai-Auckland service.

The alliance would open up Beijing as a market to and from New Zealand.  Air China said that it aims to double capacity between China and New Zealand through the partnership.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the new service could begin as early as this December.
