Virgin America to Launch Dallas Love Field-Austin Flights

Virgin America announced it will begin new flights from Dallas Love Field to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on April 28.  The carrier will operate the service five times a day.

Flights will depart Dallas at 8:50 a.m., 11:55 a.m., 2:55 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 9:05 p.m., arriving in Austin at 9:40 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 6:50 p.m., and 9:55 p.m., respectively.  From Austin, flights will depart 7:15 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 2:40 p.m., 4:25 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., and will arrive in Dallas at 8:10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 3:35 p.m., 5:20 p.m., and 8:25 p.m.

The airline will operate the flights using Airbus A320 aircraft, equipped with eight seats in first class, 12 seats in Main Cabin Extra, the airline’s premium economy lite section and 126 seats in economy.  First-class seats have a pitch of 55”, and a width of 21”.

Virgin first began operations at Dallas Love Field last October.  The carrier launched flights between Dallas Love and San Francisco International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Washington Dulles International Airport on October 13.

Once the airline has begun its Dallas-Austin flights, it will offer 19 daily departures from Dallas Love Field.
