Starwood Hotels and Resorts announced a new partnership with Uber that will allow members of the company’s hotel loyalty program to earn Starpoints during trips with the ride-sharing service.

Starwood Preferred Guest members must first link their SPG account with their Uber accounts on Starwood’s hotel loyalty program website.   To earn points, members must then complete at least one qualifying stay in the calendar year at any Starwood property worldwide.

Members will then begin earning one Starpoint for every one dollar spent on Uber rides, and bonus points earned during Starwood hotel stays.

When staying at a Starwood property, general members of SPG will earn two points per every dollar spent with Uber, Gold and Platinum members will earn three points, an Platinum 75+ members will earn four points for every dollar spent with the ride-sharing service.

Members can earn points in any market where Uber operates, including the United States, China, Brazil, and throughout Europe.
