Southwest to Begin Eight New Routes from Dallas Love Field
Southwest Airlines announced plans to launch new daily, non-stop service to eight cities from Dallas Love Field on August 9.
The carrier will offer flights to Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh/Durham, Salt Lake City, and Omaha.
Also on August 9, Southwest will increase its service from Dallas Love Field to Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Houston Hobby, Little Rock, Chicago Midway, and Seattle. The airline also announced that it plans to increase its once-weekly service to Charleston, South Carolina – which is set to begin on April 11 – to daily service on August 9.
The new flights are a result of Southwest acquiring the rights to two additional Love Field gates following United Airlines’ announcement that it would cease its operations at the airport on March 16 and only operate out of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
