Paris Hilton’s Brother Conrad Hilton Facing 20 Years in Prison After In-Flight Ruckus
Conrad Hilton, the younger brother of pseudo-celebrity Paris Hilton, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday, charged with assaulting and harassing the flight crew of a British Airways flight from London to LAX in July of last year.
Hilton, the great grandson of Hilton Hotels chain founder Conrad Hilton, was led into court with his hands and feet shackled. The charge of interfering with a flight crew carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison. Hilton did not enter a plea and was released on $100,000 bail.
According to a 17-page affidavit filed by an FBI agent, Hilton became unruly soon after the plane took off. He reportedly paced the aisle and smoked marijuana in the lavatory. He is said to have punched the bulkhead repeatedly, inches away from the face of a flight attendant, and threatened to kill several flight attendants and a co-pilot as well as have them fired.
Hilton reportedly said: “I could get you all fired in five minutes. I know your boss. My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time.”
The young heir’s behavior is said to have terrified some passengers, including children. Eyewitness accounts stated that he called passengers “f****** peasants,” and that his behavior caused several children to cry. He is reportedly now banned from flying on British Airways ever again.
