Lobby Bar – A Slightly Embellished Summary of FBT News and Views

For an awkward time, call… Follow Jonathan Spira (the guy with the pink umbrella pointed at the sky) and he’ll show you the best things to do around London’s West End.  Just remember, in UK English, “West End” means “central” and if you’re dressing up for a special occasion, don’t ask to borrow pants from a friend.

Supersonic fares.  Despite it being the shortest month, Februarys throughout history have played host to significant travel moments and milestones.  In February of 1949, a Boeing B-47 jet bomber traveled 2,289 miles in 3 hours and 46 minutes, averaging 607.8 mph, or the average speed of a NYC taxicab.

Sweet elixir.  Join Mr. Spira behind the wheel of the 2015 Nissan Murano.  Find out why the car is being prescribed by doctors as a groundbreaking treatment for kidney stones.

Draobrevoh a yub.  Were you clobbered with five feet of snow over the last two weeks?  Boy, do we have some tips for you!  We promise, it doesn’t include subliminal plugs for hoverboards.  Okay, “promise” might be too strong a word.

Cabin fever.  Paul Riegler flies from New York to Atlanta in Delta’s First Class cabin.  We mean “cabin” in the traditional sense: Riegler’s seat was thoughtfully located in an airborne log cabin, complete with roaring fireplace, bearskin rug, and horror inducing taxidermy.

Software meets hardware.  Paul Riegler gets his hands on Phone Expander iOS – a new app for your newest iGadget.  As its name implies, upon successfully downloading the app, your iPhone will grow an extra inch of screen space.  Warning: this step cannot be undone.

False advertising.  Jeremy Del Nero (is that me?) utilizes Plated’s unique service to cook up some yummy noms.  The food was fantastic, but believe it or not, no plates were included in the package.
