Starwood announced the opening of the Element Vancouver Metrotown in Vancouver, Canada.  The hotel is the second Element property to open in the country.

The hotel has 169 rooms, each with flat screen LCD TVs and kitchens, while the bathrooms have rainforest showerheads.  The property also has a 24-hour fitness center, as well as an indoor saltwater pool.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast as well as an evening wine reception.  In addition, a full-service restaurant, the Glowbal Group’s Trattoria, is scheduled to open at the hotel later this month.

The Element Vancouver Metrotown has over 6,000 square feet (557 square meters) of meeting and event space, and complimentary wireless Internet is available throughout the entire hotel.
