American Airlines announced it is offering first- and business-class passengers on international and transcontinental routes new amenity kits.

For international business and transcontinental first-class passengers, the airline is offering a series of amenity kits that harken back to its heritage, branding the kits with one of nine airlines that have been merged into American.  “We embrace our history with a feeling of pride” reads the tag on the kits.

The first three kits honor Piedmont, Reno Air, and TWA.  Other kits will include Air Cal, Allegheny, and US Airways, among others.

The kits now include body-care and beauty products from red flower, a New York-based company that focuses on wellness and the environment.

International first-class passengers are also getting new amenity kits, as well as new pajamas and non-skid cotton terry slippers.  Business-class passengers on transcon flights will also get a new amenity kit, although it will not be one of the new heritage ones.
