American Airlines Announces Initial Dreamliner Routes

DSC_0629American Airlines announced that it will deploy its Boeing 787 Dreamliner on its route between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport on May 7.  The carrier will then put the aircraft into operation on its Dallas/Fort Worth-Beijing Capital International Airport route on June 2.

Additionally, American plans to use the aircraft on its route between Dallas/Fort Worth and Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, beginning June 4.  The airline will deploy the aircraft on additional routes as it continues to take delivery of it this year.

American’s Dreamliner, a 787-8, is equipped with 28 fully lie-flat seats in business class, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, each with 15.4” HD monitors.  Sets in business class also have power outlets, as well as USB outlets.  Passengers in business class also have access to a walk-up bar.

The plane has 48 seats in Main Cabin Extra, American’s premium economy lite section, arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration.  Each seat in the cabin has 9” touchscreen monitors.  The aircraft also has 150 seats in economy, also arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration.
