Starwood announced that it plans to open a new Westin hotel in Dallas this December.  The Westin Dallas Downtown will be located in a historic building known as “One Main Place,” a mixed-use development that will also include 50,000 square feet (4,645 square meters) of retail space, 600,000 square feet (55,741 square meters) of office space, and underground parking.

The hotel will have 323 rooms, including 21 suites.  The property will also have a restaurant and bar.

Over 27,000 square feet (2,508 square meters) of meeting and event space will be located on the premises, including two boardrooms, a ballroom, and a glass-enclosed area in the courtyard.  Guests will also be able to access the hotel’s fitness center and indoor pool.

The Westin Dallas Downtown will be located five miles (eight kilometers) from Dallas Love Field, and less than 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  The property will be less than one block from the city’s Dart light rail, and in close proximity to various attractions, such as the Dallas Arts District, Victory Park the West End historic District, and the Dallas Convention Center.
