New Sheraton Hotel Opens in Dushanbe, Tajikistan

Starwood announce the opening of the Sheraton Dushanbe hotel in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan.  The property is the first Starwood hotel in the country.

The hotel has 148 guestrooms and suites, each with a 42” LCD TV and minibar.  In addition, 24-hour room service is available.

The property houses three restaurants, including: Grill@48, which features regional kebabs and barbeque; inAzia, which offers Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Indonesian, and Japanese dishes; and Zaitoun Restaurant, an all-day dining venue offering international cuisine and a buffet.  In addition, billiards and darts are available for guests at Soho Bar, while the lobby’s Link@Sheraton Café offers complimentary Wi-Fi and snacks.

The Sheraton Dushanbe has over 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, six meeting rooms, and an outdoor terrace.  Additionally, the Sheraton Club Lounge has a private meeting room, and offers complimentary breakfast and all-day snacks and beverages to Club guests.

A heated indoor pool, as well as a sauna and steam rooms are also located on the premises.

The hotel is situated five minutes from Dushanbe International Airport, and is close to the city’s central business district, as well as various attractions including the National Museum of Ancient Art, National Palace, Victory Park, and Botanical Garden.
